My February Glambag was SO good that I had high expectations for any glambags in the following months. My March bag was one of those typical bags where some items are good and some dont work out- which is okay- but totally different than my awesome Feb bag. The bag was also one of those bags where it was sooo cute except the inside/trim color ruined it. I think the shimmery rose gold was so cute and the bright neon blue of the zipper and inside of the bag really ruined the look. But anyways, let's get into the review of the products...
MORPHE | Mini Bronzer in Debutante
CLAIMS: This velvety bronzer blends onto your skin seamlessly. It’s matte, so there’s no sparkle or shimmer—just a totally natural looking, sun-kissed effect. Since it’s pocket-sized, it’s great for an on-the-go glow.
MY REVIEW: This bronzer has been my fav for months. When I discovered it, I purchased two because not only is it so cheap, it works SO well. I honestly think it's a dupe for Benefit Hoola bronzer, it's a bit warmer and a bit more orangy, but only a tiny bit (at least on my light/medium golden skintone). A little goes a long way- very pigmented and so easy to blend. I also love the packaging, it's very sturdy and perfect size for travel and on the go. I now have 3 of these and highly recommend this bronzer!
LOTTIE LONDON| Shimmer Squad Highlighter in The Good Girl
CLAIMS: The ultra-blendable powder formula goes on evenly to give you an out-of-this-world glow—no filter required. The buildable powder lets you create any luminous look, from a natural sheen to a full-on strobed effect.
MY REVIEW: I love me a new highlighter. Even though I go for the same shades, it's always fun to find a new highlighter to love. This shade is a champagne color with some pink- but very subtle. I am bummed the pan came in a plastic loose package but I love the size we got because it's huge! The first later of the highlighter is a bit glittery and I did find that I had to kind of "scratch" off the first layer to get a nice swatch and pick up product easier. But once I got this product on my face- OMG - it looks very pretty! I do blend it quite a bit to remove any glitter (I like a very fine shimmer) but once I apply and blend this looks gorgeous. It's a nice glow that can be pretty intense and looks very natural but definitely glowy.
REALHER | I Am Adaptable Matte Liquid Lipstick
CLAIMS: This one keeps your lips soft and nourished. It’s highly-pigmented and long-lasting. I Am Adaptable is a bold, bright red shade that’s just as elegant in the boardroom as it is for girls’ night.
MY REVIEW: I love reds, you can never go wrong with a red lipstick and this one is the perfect size for a purse or your pocket! This red had a blue undertone- which makes your teeth look brighter- not yellow like many red lipsticks can make your teeth look. This is a true, bright red- universal. This is a thin formula which glides on so easily, dries down quickly, and doesn't make your lips look too dry. It doesn't feel dry either!
FOXYBAE| Flaminglow Leave In Conditioner
CLAIMS: Made with biotin (a B vitamin that helps stimulate hair growth), this leave-in treatment detangles, moisturizes, tames frizz, and helps hair grow long and strong. Use it on normal hair for an extra smooth finish and damaged hair to nourish and heal. This baby will shine things up without any greasiness. Notes of honey and blackcurrant give it a light, subtly sweet (not overpowering) scent. You can use it on wet or dry hair—we keep it in our car, on our desk, and swipe some on our strands to tame frizz and flyaways in a snap.
MY REVIEW: Ipsy hair products rarely work for me. This one kinda works but before I get into that I have to say this smells SO FREAKING GOOD. I can not get over how amazing this smells. It smells like baby powder, but not as powdery and more fresh and clean with some sweet vanilla notes. I'm obsessed with how good it makes me hair smell. Now, this product does make my hair soft and even silky! But it does not tame frizz. In fact my hair with really frizzy from using this so I don't apply it alone. I put in my usual coconut oil as a leave in and after applying coconut oil i then add this since it smells good and does make my hair softer and so silky! I am bummed that it doesn't tame frizz and actually make it frizzier, but the scent and other benefits do make up for that!
YENSA | BC Foundation in Medium
CLAIMS: This creamy foundation multitasks while it does a whole lot of good for your skin. It’s a BB, CC, and full-coverage foundation in one that acts as a moisturizer, primer, blemish-fighter, and more. With sunny days ahead, SPF 50 will give your skin a layer of protection from sun damage whenever you wear this foundation. It’s lightweight, buildable, and lasts all day—our skin looked even and gorg even after hours of wear.
MY REVIEW: I always get excited to try new BB creams since I like to wear those on days I don't want heavy makeup on- just something to even out skintone. This came in a medium shade which suprisingly had a yellow undertone- perfect for me. However, it oxidizes to a pinkish undertone and does have a white cast that spf products tend to give off. As for application and look/feel, this applies easily but I did have to do a second layer since I looked a bit pale with the first application. (The second coat helped give a warmer look but still pink and white cast for me). This does look nice on the skin and wears really well- my face felt soft and didn't get oily.
