Cooking: Chicken Sausage Orzotto

I am seriously in love with Hello Fresh! Just about every meal

I’ve made has been delicious and this week I made a chicken sausage orzotto that was really good! 

This recipe was one of the easier ones with few steps. All you do is cook the chicken sausage, grate and cook the zucchini (cook until soft, with shallots), and cook the orzotto with tomatoes and chicken stock! Then combine them all and top with mozzarella. Easy! 

One of the last steps is to top with Panko bread crumbs and broil but I honestly didn’t want Panko breading on top (it can be messy and add a crunch) so I just left that portion out. I’ve mentioned this before but one of my favorite things about Hello Fresh is that you will possibly have leftover ingredients you can use those for other meals which I appreciate because it saves me a trip! 

Something I learned in this specific recipe was grating and adding zucchini! I never thought of zucchini like that- grating it and mixing it into a meal. I always think zucchini is just a veggie on the side but I love zucchini so any new ways to incorporate it into meals is awesome. I’ve also grown fond of Italian seasoning. It can be a strong taste so I add little by little. 

Overall this meal was soooooo good. But I love anything with pasta, tomato, and chicken stock. And of course zucchini!
