A color I have grown increasingly fond of is yellow. Yellow flowers, yellow art decor in my home and yellow in my wardrobe! IN fashion, yellow has a history of being that color that is not easy to rock but if you can rock it- it's fashion! Take Twiggy, for example. Fashion model Twiggy was it girl in the 60's and while she made yellow fashion fierce in her day, yellow continues in modern day as a vintage style.
I prefer a more subtle or mustard yellow, especially dresses. Yellow doesn't have to be bright to make your outfit pop, which is pretty legit. A mustard yellow or even pale/pastel yellow can brighten up an outfit for a summer bbq or pool party but also look sophisticated at work. Pairing it with chic glasses adds a final touch.
Another great thing about yellows is you can keep an outfit casual but add some yellow in the form of shoes, scarfs, or jewelry. I save dark yellow scarfs and sweaters for fall and always have a nice pair of sandals or heels for summer beach parties or dinner gatherings. Yellow colored sunglasses also give some fun to an outfit!
